The United Kingdom Carrom Federation (UKCF) was formed on 26 September 1991, under the late Chairmanship of Mr Krishan Kumar Sharma who is now deceased. The first office bearers were Shiv Kumar Sharma (Secretary) and Vijay Damodar Lal Sharma (Treasurer).
UK Carrom Federation its main work is to promote the international sport of Carrom in United Kingdom. The objective of the UKCF is to generate a successful Carrom community and to ensure United Kingdom participation in all international Carrom tournaments and events organised by the European Carrom Confederation & International Carrom Federation or other National Carrom Associations/Federations around the world. It is non-profit making and non-political organisation working for the people living in the United Kingdom.
In the last 23 years of establishment, UKCF have hosted 3 Euro Cup in England. The UKCF team event has been astonishing, 10 times winner in the last 23 years and 7 single event and many doubles. The member of the organisation has significantly increased throughout the UK.
The Federation controls and supervises all carrom activities in UK through its affiliated State Associations and District Associations. It organizes every year national championships and league tournaments. It has already organised many tournaments throughout the country and conducts regional and introduced Invitation of Prize Money Tournaments.
It has already organised two ICF tournaments during 1993 and 1997 and indo-UK test series in 2008. And the spectacular introduction of 1st World Cup Carrom Tournament during 2001 in Luton.
